Hello guys, how are you all, so sorry for the sudden disappearance and the things I tried to review but could not review for you all, life went haywire and well, I just truly quit on a lot of things. Regardless, I am back and probably will be around a lot more that what you guys would normally expect. For those of you that know me, well it’s awesome, for those that don’t, well, I am DA1825 or most commonly known in the videogame industry or in the gaming interwebs as Anthony1825. Other than that, I’m still on high school, so yeah… 🙂

Anyways, after a long, long time without releasing a new Tekken game, Namco decided to put their hands to work. After getting little to no input on Street Fighter X Tekken Namco decided to put their hands to work on ‘several games.’ The first one of this batch: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2 for short). Now, this shall be kind of an overview on everything that I’ve tried of the game in a couple of days which is basically about 4 hours in total. Head on past the break after this hype as hell TTT2 trailer.

The Shooter Debacle: Call of Duty or Battlefield?

by Anthony Bonilla

Hey there readers, with the last months of the year quickly approaching, gamers’ yearly debacle starts to come. You see, for gamers every year we have to decide between shooting games, for us it is ‘should I buy Call of Duty or should I buy Battlefield?’ Many would think that it is something easy to decide and would think that it is just get the game on the shelf, and go out and put your money. But nope, that isn’t how it is for us. For us, it isn’t just buying a game, as you know now, many people don’t have nearly enough money to sustain themselves, much less to buy a game or two, so it is extremely frustrating when we don’t get our money’s worth from a game. It has really happened to me only once and it wasn’t that bad cause the game was worth 15$ and it at least brought another game with it that I really liked. Anyways, I am not here to tell you whether you should buy Call of Duty or Battlefield, I am here to say what is good in one side and what is good in the other, it is all to help you decide which one is really worth your money, so that when you play the game you say ‘Damn, that was a great buy.’

Now, you see I am going to be honest with you guys, I’ve played Call of Duty a lot more than I have played Battlefield, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the my first ever First Person Shooter that I’ve bought (the First I ever played was Golden Eye 64). Now, this year, I have Battlefield 3 pre-ordered and I will get Modern Warfare 3 for holiday more than likely. Now, as you see I didn’t pre-order Call of Duty because I don’t really like as much as Battlefield, I must be honest with you guys, I enjoy Battlefield a lot more. Now, I am not going to be bias with a game or the other, I am here to put out what game gives you something that the other doesn’t and vice-versa.

Now, I will put this on two ways, the pros and the cons of the two games, that way it is easier for me to write it and also easier for you guys to understand what I say and mean that way. I am in no way a pro at writing things like this, so please have a bit of patience at first.

Top 15 Scariest Video Games

by iconmatthew1

While horror isn’t used a lot in the video game world there are some pretty scary games out there. Actually you think there would be a ton of horror survival games since its probably easier to feel fear when you are in control of the character than when you see some dumb teenager head out alone to check on that noise coming from the woods. “So long kiddo!”

But you as a video game player aren’t that stupid, you’d never go into the woods to check on strange noises armed with a weapon that the audience knows can do nothing against the impending monster/killer. Or would you? That’s the beauty of horror themed video games despite all of the logic we’ve learned from watching horror movies the games usually force you to be “that guy” and venture in. Basically you are forced to be brave/stupid for the sake of advancing in the game.

So now I present to you in honor of the month of October which houses the spooky Halloween the top 15 scariest video games out there. Now I may miss a few because I won’t list a game off of reputation, it will be only games that I’ve at least played for a few minutes. Feel free to leave a comment on how you feel about my list, especially if you don’t agree. My feelings will not be hurt.

15. F.E.A.R.

“F.E.A.R.” the game’s title and acronym for the special unit you play a soldier in “First Encounter Assault Recon” is really when it all boils down to it a First Person Shooter (FPS). But it adds in a few horror elements like an always creepy little girl with psychic powers who will cause you to see visions of horror. The game is on the same vein as a “Doom” but its truly chilling atmosphere is incredibly effective.

Sequel Please!: Run Like Hell

by iconmatthew1

Usually I’m pretty critical of sequels, generally a story can generally be told in one installment with the exception of things such as action heroes and comic book films. Still there are some things that just deserve sequels. Whether it be a movie, book or video game some stories just need to be expanded on.

This time I’m talking about a video game developed by Digital Mayhem, Capcom, RenderWare and Interplay. The game was released in 2002 and really flew under the radar. By flew under the radar I mean ended up in the bargain bin pretty quick. Part of the reason was the game as an actual video game ran into issues, there were a lot of problems in development that caused the companies to rush. However the story in this game is simply amazing.

Run Like Hell works like a sci-fi thriller. Think “The Thing” and “Aliens”. I’m not saying the story is as good as these two films (better than the movie I’d like to forget exists “Aliens 3) but still its a really fun game.  So basic run down of the plot: Mining surveyor and former war hero Nicholas Conner returns to his space station to find it overrun by a hostile, previously unknown alien species known simply as The Race. Most of the crew members are dead, Nick’s fiance is trapped on the far side of the base, and Nick discovers the entire outpost is slowly degenerating into an alien hive. Using his war experience Nick must fight the hostile enemies to locate survivors on the outpost who can help him find Samantha.

The game seems simple enough, but there are some interesting elements in the gameplay. Some video game critics wrongfully were too harsh on this game I feel, and its time that Interplay pushes forward and makes a sequel to this. The game was originally meant to be a trilogy but low sales prevented that. I think if the Punisher can get three chances Run Like Hell deserves one more.

Any game that has Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor from Superman the animated series & other Bruce Timm animated works.) Oh and Michael Ironside he’s a voice actor in this game too! Come on MAKE A SEQUEL ALREADY! Below is a trailer for the game.
